Back on the up

Hey hey... It's not often i'm on ups and downs but quite frankly it's been a weird couple of weeks!

I'm back on the up now and it's not just cos i've eaten some chocolate biscuits. It's amazing what a little sleep can do for you.

What am i on about?

Well... as i said yesterday, i've spent the last 3 or 4 weeks working my arse off! It's been good fun, but it's been too much with the 2 jobs, and trying to sort out a move and so much other stuff.

Don't read this wrong, i'm not complaining - i love my life! Apart from when i'm feeling ill i'm having a constant laugh.

I have been the target for most of the jokes in work recently and have been named as:

Slept

After work yesterday, i went straight to bed for an hour and a half! I've been feeling ill all week which is probably down to exhaustion. I've been getting 5 1/2 hours sleep each night, pretty much for a month.

I've been on ups and downs recently and quite frankly, right now is a downer.

Why?

I am incredibly disappointed with people in the world.

Who?

Everyone. People don't appreciate each other and just use and abuse each other.

Now i'm not all high and mighty, i'm probably as guilty of this as the next person but that's not the point. The realisation of it just makes me disappointed with the world. And the realisation that there is nothing i can do about it makes it even worse.

Ah, well.. This probably means nothing to most of you, and soon i will forget about all this and this blog will be irrelevant to me too then.

Maybe it's just cos i'm tired.

Sport Relief

Well it's "Sports Relief Day" in work and so I sit at my desk wearing mostly Dean's clothes! A Wallabies rugby shirt, and some black socks which are slowly giving me DVT. In short, i look like a twat but "it's all the in name of chariDy mate!"

Got the digi-cam with me today so i hope to get some pictures of all the people in work (and some to show WHERE i work) but it's just a case of getting the chance.

Ah well. Back later.

Easy Life!

It's been a nice easy day today - maybe a little TOO easy! In fact, all i've done, was move about 50 computers. That's it! EASY!

The heckling has started today and the 'office banter' has began - everyone takes the piss out of everyone and it's great!

Pub Lunch

I'm slowly realising that my job involves a lot of pub lunches. I for one would just like to take a moment and applaud this.

On the down side however, this means that i will not be blogging too much today or Friday (Pizza Hut).

Sad i know but i really like my food so i don't really care.

BROADBAND!!!

In work once again and i've orderd NTL broadband for my new house which i've been moving into over the weekend with Sarah, Dean, Paul and Greg is still to come.

Anyway - A bit busy today so i'll keep it short...

Good Day, Skipping Lunch to blogg and sort ntl, happy, cheers, bye.

Once again it's the 2nd half of my lunch break and i'm sat at my desk blogging. Although, i'd planned not to blogg today cos i thought i was going to Pizza Hut with some of the people i work with.

So what went wrong?

Well i was on a high this morning after reading through so many forums and finally finding the answer to a problem with one of the programs on the network - and yes, now it works! However, this caused me to get all excited and start another job which involved walking round the building and as a result i wasn't in my office when everyone left for Pizza Hut. Ah well, next week i'll eat lots!

Anyway - I ate my ham and cheese canteen sandwich with my hot chocolate, kit-kat (yes, i ate some chocolate) and i've got the remains of an apple tango bottle by my side.

Just spoken to Sarah on the phone and texting everyone about a meal soon and now it's time for another induction meeting and then the continuation of that job i started this morning.

It's been a good week, and i've had fun!

Guess Who's Back...

Well, i'm back from lunch, only had about half hour, but considering i don't do a lot of work yet anyway, i'm not really bothered.

Anyway, turns out that i am covered by the UPS and so even when the rest of the company has to switch off their computers, i can still use mine and whats more, i can still access the net/email and all other online things... ROCK ON!!

Anyway, spoke to Sarah a while ago and she's passsed her degree with a 2.1

WELL DONE SARAH!!

anyway, back to doing whatever it is i'm supposed to be doing

Alone in the Office

Well, it's day 4 in my new job and already i've been left alone in the office. It's doesn't bother me but i haven't had lunch and i'm beginning to get hungry yet cannot leave the office as there is nobody else here!

Oh sweet grumbling stomache, soon my friend, soon!

Anyway, had more to do today and have started to email people who i only just slightly know...
